Partnership's Vision - Churches Networking for Mission

We want to see a growing network of spiritually-alive, biblically-radical, dynamic independent churches which are effective in mission in their communities and which are encouraging one another in their Gospel work for the Kingdom

Mission

We seek to achieve our vision by

• maintaining regular contact with churches and church leaders

• facilitating networking between them

• providing them with advice, support, and publications

all with the aim of helping them to encourage and learn from one another.

Values

Our key values are: sharing, serving, trust, flexibility and creativity

It’s good to share!

We live in favoured times. The very fact that I am writing this on a nice laptop and you are reading it on some electronic device is a probable indicator that we are among the world’s rich!  And rather than going on a guilt trip about that, we can rightly celebrate God’s grace – for all we have (including being born at a certain time and place) is his generous gift which he intends us to enjoy.

Of course, just as a burden shared is a burden halved, a pleasure shared is a pleasure doubled (or even multiplied). God gives us gifts both to enjoy and to share.  And his most precious gifts don’t come with a price tag.

Sharing is the very heart of the Greek word koinonia which we also translate as ‘communion’, ‘fellowship’ or ‘partnership’.  Churches & people associated with Partnership recognize that God has been good to us, and we are on the lookout for opportunities to share – especially with fellow believers and those in need.  And that is music to the ear for many of us who are also conscious we have need, whether of resources, encouragement, training, manpower… The list goes on.

Partnership as a network is simply churches sharing with one another with the expectation that the overflow of God’s grace to us will not only bless and benefit other communities of Christians but will result in many other people discovering for themselves God’s lavish grace as churches network for mission.

It’s good to share!

Sharing is not just a privilege; it is a command or instruction.  But like all God’s commands it is for our good – and our eternal gain.

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.

In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
