Partnership SW links the 23 Partnership churches in South West England and serves a group of up to 40 churches in the area.   E-mail

Its programmes include:
  • Regular half-day Forums on Saturday mornings – generally held at Belmont Chapel, Western Way, Exeter. These deal with topics of concern to those active in Partnership-type churches. Recent examples are ‘The passionate church’, ‘The all-age church’ and ‘Churches like Ours’. The next Forum will be on Saturday 7 May 2011 when the main speaker will be Rev. Ian Coffey of Moorlands College. - 'SW Diary Dates' below for more details.
  • Training courses. In 2006 - 8 courses were run each November-December, to provide practical instruction in issues relevant to strengthening church life and ministry. In 2009-10, a new, larger venture was initiated - a 10-month evening and weekend training course, 'Growing leaders' at Exeter. A similar course is likely to run in 2010-11. For more information contact Clive Hughes.
  • Church-based leadership workshops for individual elderships and church leadership teams, to help them to work more effectively and develop future leadership for churches.
  • Informal dinners for invited church leaders in the area, for mutual encouragement.

Developing leaders and potential leaders in the South West

The Partnership SW Steering Group introduced a new course for church leaders in the winter of 2009-10. This was based on the CPAS's 'Growing Leaders' course. It combined teaching sessions (two Saturdays - in October and February - and eight evening sessions in other months) with mentored development. Details and summary programme, course outline, and registration card.

A similar course is likely to be run in 2010-11.
