International Ministry

Increasingly, Partnership’s ministry has an international dimension, with warm relationships with groups in a wide variety of countries. The ultimate objective is communication and fellowship, to encourage local churches and individuals to relate to each other across, as well as within, national boundaries. This is not to the exclusion of warm relationships with other Christians, but recognises common background, ethos, and issues to be addressed.

Partnership works closely with the International Planning Group responsible for the four-yearly International Brethren Conferences on Mission. At the IBCM3 conference in 2003, two international networks were established - the Brethren International Network and the Brethren Educational Network.

Partnership's international ministry includes:

Conferences

Sometimes we give our own conferences an international dimension.

We participate with others in arranging continental and global conferences from time to time, and encourage others to do the same.

  • The third International Brethren Conference on Mission (IBCM3) was held in Romania from 1-6 July 2003. A press release reporting on the conference is available from Neil Summerton.
  • The next IBCM conference is planned to be held in 2007 (details).
  • A Pan-African Brethren Missions Conference was held in November 2004 in Johannesburg, South Africa (report).  PABCM Web Site
  • A conference of European brethren leaders is to held at Wiedenest, Germany on 30 June - 1 July 2005 (brochure).

Twinning of local churches

We encourage local churches in different countries to make "twinning" arrangements for the exchange of news, personnel, finance etc.

Publications

Partnership publications are available to individuals, subscriber organisations and libraries at a cost of £25 per set per year. Overseas local churches are asked to pay £35 a year and receive two sets of publications. The publishing programme includes:
