30/10/2009 Changes in Partnership

Over the past year there have been some important changes in responsibilities within Partnership UK

After thirty years' service, Harold Rowdon     has stepped down as General Editor and from editing Partnership Perspectives and International Partnership Perspectives, and from the Executive Group which is responsible for Partnership's day to day administration. James Tumbridge has stepped down as Treasurer after something like 35 years' service.

Partnership has recruited Euan Menzies of Kents Road Church, Haywards Heath, as Treasurer. Neil Summerton is acting as managing editor of Partnership Perspectives and is assisted by Andrew Lacey of the GLO Bookshop in Motherwell and Strathaven Evangelical Church. The future of International Perspectives is under consideration.

Derek Burnside    , a senior leader of Belmont Chapel Exeter and a Keswick Trustee, has now fully taken over as Chair of the Executive Group, while Neil Summerton continues for the time being as Chairman of Partnership. The Executive Group currently comprises: Derek Burnside     (Chair), Keith Barnard     (National Director), Andy Gibson, Euan Menzies, Paul Stallard    , Michael Soper, Neil Summerton and Bob Tripney    . The membership of the Council is fully listed in the inside back cover of each issue of Partnership Perspectives.

A decisive generational shift in the leadership of Partnership is therefore underway.
